Terms of Service
By using BlissPoint you accept these terms. They are written to actually be read: short, in order, with none of the boilerplate nobody checks.
What we offer
BlissPoint is a free quantitative analysis tool. Starting from the historical prices of the securities you choose, it computes two portfolio combinations — the one that swung least over the period analysed and the one with the best return-to-risk ratio — and shows measures of diversification, concentration and composition. It is a calculation on past data, and nothing more. The service is provided as is: we may change it, suspend it or shut it down, and we do not promise it will always be reachable.
This is not financial advice
BlissPoint is not a financial adviser, is not authorised to provide investment services and gives no personal recommendations: it knows nothing about your situation, your goals or your ability to absorb a loss. What you see are statistical calculations on past prices. Past performance does not predict future performance, no figure shown here is a forecast and no percentage is a promise: any investment can lose value, up to the whole capital. The decisions remain yours and you take them at your own risk; for important choices, speak to a licensed professional.
Where the data comes from
Historical prices come from Yahoo Finance, read through the yfinance library from a public interface: we have no supply contract with Yahoo, and no guarantees. The list of securities that name search works on comes from FinanceDatabase, a public archive of symbols. Availability, accuracy and timeliness depend entirely on these sources: the data may contain errors, delays or gaps, and the service may become unreachable without notice. We do not verify it item by item; we always show how much data was used and over which period, so you can judge the reliability of the result yourself. Rights over the data remain with those who produce it.
How you may use BlissPoint, and how not
You may use BlissPoint to analyse your portfolios, as often as you like, for free. You may not resell, redistribute or publish the market data that passes through here, extract it in bulk with automated programs, circumvent the site's technical limits or those of the providers it relies on, or use it as a data source for another service or to build a competing one. The reason is simple: the prices are not ours and come from a public interface meant for personal use. Heavy extraction does not hurt us — it hurts the chance that this service keeps existing. For the same reason there is no button to download the historical series: what you take away are the percentages computed for your portfolio, not the raw data. If an account causes a load that degrades the service for others, we may throttle or suspend it.
Your account
The service is for adults: that is why we ask for your date of birth when you register. The information you give us must be yours and must be true. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential: if you suspect someone knows it, change it. You can close your account whenever you like from your profile page, without asking anyone and without writing to us. We may suspend an account used for automated activity that compromises the service for others, or in breach of these terms.
What we answer for
BlissPoint is offered free of charge and with no warranty as to results. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for the investment decisions you make, for the losses that follow from them, or for errors in the data we receive from external sources. What does remain — because the law does not allow it to be excluded — is liability for wilful misconduct and gross negligence and for harm to life and health: no line of this document limits it. If you are a consumer, the rights the law gives you apply regardless and are not affected by these terms.
If we change these terms
Every version of this document has a number, and when you registered we recorded which version you accepted: you can read it on your profile page. If we change something substantial we tell you before it applies to you, and you remain free not to accept by closing your account. Changes do not apply backwards: what has already happened is judged by the text in force at the time.
Applicable law
Italian law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may go to the court of the place where you reside. For anything concerning this document you can write to info@bpblisspoint.com.
